Landmark Steeple of New Orleans Recieves New Cross
CIS Steeplejacks of Ohio Wednesday April 28th, 2010 hoisted a new solid bronze, gold leaf to the top of the landmark steeple at St. Stephen Catholic Church, 200 feet above Napoleon Avenue. Financed by parishioner donations, the cross bears names of donors, Archbishop Gregory Aymond and Monsignor Christopher Nalty, the pastor of Good Shepard Parish. The cross replaces a smaller cross broken by Hurricane Gustav in 2008.
